A supportive friend was what Kunsel needed right now, and one he always knew he could find in Zax. If anyone had been up and bothering to watch, no one would have been surprised to see him heading for her door in the middle of the night.

Well, maybe they would have been surprised if they'd known what his original plans for the night had been, but those had clearly fallen through. More than clearly, since for once he wasn't even wearing his helmet, leaving his frustration and disappointment plain to see.

He just hoped that Zax hadn't gone to bed yet when he knocked (or wasn't out on her own plans for the night.)
